A first-generation college and post-graduate scholar, Jessica is a proud Army combat veteran and Doctor of Behavioral Health Candidate. But Jessica’s greatest qualifications don’t come from titles. They come from a lived experience marked by perseverance, purpose, and the power of grace.

Born to teenage parents, migrant farmworkers who, despite never being given the opportunity to finish school, planted the foundation for a future beyond limitation. Jessica was raised in a world where others assumed she would continue the cycle of teen pregnancy, poverty, and limited education. Instead, her parents sowed seeds of strength and faith early on, teaching her about Jesus, the value of hard work, and the belief that she was created for more. Those roots; humble, faith-filled, and sacrificial, became the foundation of a life that would rise through challenge after challenge.

From navigating systemic barriers and battling imposter syndrome to serving her country and becoming the first in her family to pursue a doctorate, Jessica’s story is one of rising, again and again.
